千年未来工藝祭 「国際工藝シンポジウム」 2日目の8月27日(日) 11:00ーは、「新世界工藝網 第二部」と題して、越前×香港×台湾からグローバルな視点で、各国で活躍しているデザイナーやクリエイターと共に「CoNEXTion」（共につながる）をキーワードに、彼らが抱えている現代の課題と解決策について様々な視点からディスカッションします。

上海、香港で活躍する日本人インテリア＆ライティングデザイナー。AIA米国建築家協会賞、 香港パースペクティブ賞受賞。

約20年前から、日本から香港に渡り、二つカルチャーを取り込みながら、デザインの一線で活躍している。

プロダクトデザインからインテリアデザイン、そして現在ではクリエイティブ分野の人材育成にも力を入れ、香港のデザイン事情、マーケット事情。

そして、香港の近未来についても詳しい。最近ではサスティナブルなモノづくりとアジアのクリエイターを繋ぐ仕組みを日々思案している。

瀧 英晃 Hideaki Taki

[滝製紙場 和紙職人 伝統工芸士]

1875年創業。伝統的な和紙の産地で有名な福井県の越前市にある、越前和紙の製紙所。手漉きと機械抄きの両方で大紙を製造しており、

そのサイズや種類、利用範囲は、日本の伝統的な襖や壁紙からアートに使うための紙まで、広きにわたる。伝統的な技術を守っていくことに加えて、

ホテル、店舗、アーティスト、商品メーカーなどと協業することにより、伝統技術を現代のデザインと融合し、和紙の新しい可能性を見出し続けている。

 

内田 裕規 Hiroki Uchida

[千年未来工藝祭プロデューサー / 株式會社ヒュージ]

デザインやブランディング、地域リノベーションをプロデュース。文化創造拠点「FLAT project」や、作り手を繋ぐ場「CRAFT BRIDGE」創設。

一般社団法人「北陸古民家再生機構」理事、「越前市文化創造みらい会議」委員も務め、カテゴリーを越えた働き方、ライフスタイルの提案などを行っている。

Venue: Masakari Don no Yakata (Symposium venue of Millennium Arts Festival) 2-7-81 Takase, Echizen City, Fukui, Japan

 

“International Arts and Crafts Symposium” The first day, Saturday, August 26, 11:00~, will be titled “New World Arts and Crafts Network”,

with a presentation from Echizen, Hong Kong and Taiwan.  We will focus on the future possibilities of Echizen crafts,

global handicrafts, design, and creativity from a global perspective, with designers and creators from around the world,

under the keyword “CoNEXTion” (Connecting Together).

The discussion will explore the unique potential of handcrafts from a variety of perspectives.

 

Together with Hong Kong architectural and spatial designer Seiki Mori and Taiwanese producer Jay Huang, who is involved in the fusion of traditional industry and design, creators from Hong Kong and Taiwan will participate to explore the possibilities of crafts and handicrafts.

and lighting designer active in Hong Kong, winner of the AIA American Institute of Architects Award and the Hong Kong Perspective Award.

For the past 20 years, he has been active in the front line of design, incorporating two cultures, from Japan to Hong Kong.

He has been active in the design field from product design to interior design, and is currently focusing on human resource development in the creative field,

and is also a specialist in Hong Kong’s design situation, market situation, and the near future of Hong Kong.

He is also knowledgeable about the design situation in Hong Kong, the market, and the near future of Hong Kong.

Recently, he has been working on a system to connect sustainable manufacturing and creators in Asia.

 

JAY HUANG [Founder & CEO, Taiwan Creative Agency Howdy Creative] https://howdy-creative.co/

“Howdy Creative” was founded in 2014. Specializes in social design and project management.

He works to make the creativity of Taiwan’s regions known to a wide audience through a designer’s perspective as a great thing.

He continues to learn about the creativity of different regions, and because of this,

most of the projects Howdy has worked on are closely integrated with the region, its climate, people, and community.

Hideaki Taki

[Washi craftsman, traditional craftsman]

Established in 1875. Located in Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture, which is famous for its traditional washi paper production.

It produces large sheets of paper by both handmade and machine-made methods,

Its sizes, types, and uses range from traditional Japanese sliding doors and wallpaper to paper for use in art. In addition to preserving traditional techniques,

By collaborating with hotels, stores, artists, and product manufacturers,

the company continues to discover new possibilities for washi by fusing traditional techniques with contemporary design.

 

Hiroki Uchida [Producer of the Millennium Future Arts and Crafts Festival / HUDGE Inc. He is the founder of “FLAT project,” a cultural creation base, and “Craft Bridge,” a place to connect makers. He is also a board member of “Hokuriku Old Private House Restoration Organization” and a member of “Echizen City Cultural Creation Mirai Council”, and proposes a way of working and lifestyle that transcends categories.
